Common questions

What clients ask first

What is the difference between 96.5% gold and 18K

96.5% (23K) is the Thai standard for gold jewellery — high purity, deep yellow, and it holds its resale value against the daily gold rate. 18K (75%) is harder and far more scratch resistant, which matters when claws have to hold a stone for decades. For engagement rings and any diamond setting we recommend 18K or platinum.

How long does a commission take, and what deposit is needed

Usually 4–10 weeks from design approval, depending on complexity and how long the stone takes to source. A 30% deposit starts the work and the balance is due on delivery. Rush timelines are possible with notice, for an additional bench fee.

Can I commission a piece from outside Thailand

Yes. We can arrange a video call to discuss the design, and send renders and progress footage before any work begins. Shipping cost and timing depend on the destination — get in touch directly for details before committing to a commission.

Do the stones come with certificates

Every diamond from 0.30 ct comes with a GIA or GIT report. Significant coloured stones carry a GIT report stating origin and any treatment. Report numbers appear on the product page so you can verify them on the institute's own site.

Do you buy back or exchange

Gold jewellery is bought back at the Gold Traders Association rate on the day, less the published making charge. Stone-set pieces are valued individually. Non-bespoke items can be exchanged or returned within 14 days in original condition with box and certificate.
