Where it started: Kannika Gems
Kannika Gems was founded by our mother, built on care, attention and honesty, selecting jewellery of real value for every client. Each piece stood for a feeling, a memory, an occasion that mattered. In 2023 the next generation took over and relaunched the shop as Bijouxteria Jewelry, keeping the same standard of authenticity and the same family-run service, with designs now shaped more for how a new generation actually dresses and lives.
Why Chanthaburi
Chanthaburi is one of the largest coloured-stone trading and cutting centres in the world. A great many of the rubies and sapphires sold in London or Hong Kong passed through Thai cutters first. We select every stone ourselves at the Chanthaburi gem market — which is also where our family's story in this trade began.
The standards we hold to
Every diamond carries a report from an internationally recognised laboratory such as GIA. Coloured stones, both hard and soft gems, are hand-selected. Silver pieces are genuine 92.5% sterling, and gold work is made in-house by our own goldsmith, which keeps quality under our control at every stage. Every piece leaves with our own warranty.
After you buy
We look after what you buy for as long as you wear it — cleaning, replating, and ring resizing, with free resizing within a set allowance. The goal is that what you buy from us still looks and fits right years later.
How a commission works
From sketch to velvet box
Stage 01
Talk and sketch
In store or by video call. We ask about budget, occasion and size first, then draw two or three directions. No charge at this stage.
Stage 02
Select the stone
From our stock or sourced to order in Chanthaburi. You see the certificate and inspect the stone under a loupe before anything is committed.
Stage 03
Carve and cast
The model is carved in wax by hand. You try the wax on before we cast, and we adjust as many times as it takes to fit.
Stage 04
Set and polish
Stones are set one at a time under magnification, polished by hand, then struck with the metal purity mark and your commission number.
Stage 05
Deliver with papers
You receive the stone report, warranty and specification card. Free insured delivery within Thailand; fully insured courier worldwide.
